Fancy That!

 Okay. So. A QH for $500. Not quite, but let's get this show on the road! It just so happens that on the day of the auction, at the time of the auction, we were attending a friend's wedding anniversary. So what does any reasonable horse person do at her horse friend's anniversary? Beg to use her computer and wifi to stalk an online auction where she's "definitely not buying a QH online.. unless they go super cheap. Then maybe." LoL yeah yeah, we all know how this went.  I had one other young horse on my list and it was slowing down around 1500, so I asked Logan, "should I bid on him?" and he yelled back, "NO!" So.. I didn't. Half an hour later, Fancy came up, I asked the same question, and the response was, "Do whatever you want." So.. I did. And my one bid was the winning bid!! I was so excited, I did a little dance and drank a bit, then went home and went to bed.  Then... I tossed and turned and had nightmares all night, won...

 Okay, so I may have been drinking for this one. *laughs* Again, don't you love stories that start like this?? Logan and Hank (tall one in the reindeer antlers below) were watching the Pats whoop my team (Dolphins- woot!), when I decided the epic chocolate martini I'd just devoured, the beautiful snow coming down, my Christmas-barfed house, and a need to go ride were just toooo much to ignore, and... took my issues outside.  Mind you, I haven't ridden bareback in years- both because my mare has a sharkfin masquerading as a spine, and also because.. I have no doubt it will be the opportunity she's been waiting for to kill me. LMAO But I do have this reasonably sane, gorgeous REDHEAD mare sitting outside, so...  A Christmas Card if I ever saw one!! OMG, she's so cute!!! I even lured Logan into the fun!! Win!! Mareface was really not sure of the antlered man. And the sad dog at the end is Loki, who wishes he could have been outside.. but he slept through the whole thin...

 So... I did a thing.  I was not drunk (don't you love stories that start this way??), high, or having a nervous breakdown. I just... did a thing. A thing such as... buy a horse more than halfway across the country from a picture and description, on an online auction for ranch horses. Oh, and paid more for her than either of my two other horses combined. heh So, here we meet A Fancy Title. To be forever known as "Fancy." And also forever known as the least fancy horse I've possibly ever met. Unless you count jewelry on every workable surface as fancy. Then... she definitely lives up to her title. haha Catch that? A pun. Fancy Title? Her name?? LoL Just go with it! Anyway, meet Fancy's picture! Yes, I looked through a book of 300 aimals in South Dakota and had to have her. Do you see that build? And yes, I know I'm supposed to be looking for a hubby horse here: 15 years old, well broke.. but she's so gorgeous.. So, you must be wondering: How does a sane, so...
